When I first heard about the movie “Blithe Spirit,” I knew I had to see it. An intense drama with supernatural elements and a biting wit? Sign me up.
The storyline follows Charles Condomine, a successful writer struggling to find inspiration for his latest novel. To help him out, he invites the eccentric medium Madame Arcati to his home for a seance in hopes of getting some material for his book.
But what starts as a harmless experiment quickly turns dark when Madame Arcati accidentally summons the spirit of Charles’ deceased wife, Elvira. Chaos ensues as Elvira wreaks havoc on Charles’ life, causing him to question his sanity and the true nature of love.
