Sometimes though, these hidden gems have a way of shining brightly and capturing our imaginations in ways that we never expected. One such film is “Under the Silver Lake.”
Directed by David Robert Mitchell and starring Andrew Garfield, this film is a neo-noir thriller set in the heart of Los Angeles. It follows Sam (Garfield), a young man who becomes obsessed with his mysterious neighbor Sarah (Riley Keough) after she disappears without a trace. As he embarks on a search for her that takes him deeper into the twisted underbelly of LA’s counterculture scene, Sam finds himself uncovering secrets he never could have imagined.
